LCD Global Investments Ltd (formerly known as L.C. Development Ltd) started out as a company specialising in traditional Chinese medicines in 1973 until September 1993 when it sold off the pharmaceutical component to concentrate on its property related business. From there, the Group's operations expanded and it went on to own and operate hotels and serviced residences in various parts of the world. Its subsequent de-merger from parent company, Lum Chang Holdings Limited in October 2005, allowed the Group to independently establish its management focus, business directions and growth strategies. Today, its principal activities are hospitality and investment holdings. Headquartered in Singapore, the Group has presence in Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, People's Republic of China and the United Kingdom. The Company's name change to "LCD Global Investments Ltd" serves to provides a more accurate and broader representation of the Company's current corporate profile and future business direction towards hospitality and investment holdings. Change of Name: L.C. Development Ltd to LCD Global Investments Ltd. Trading under the new name with effect from 4 December 2013. On 12 January 2015, DBS Bank Ltd., for and on behalf of AF Global Pte. Ltd. (“AFG”), announced a firm intention to make the Offer. Following the close of the Offer, the Company became a subsidiary of AFG and changed its name to “AF Global Limited” with effect from 28 Apr 2016 to (i) better reflect the Company’s close alignment with AFG, as its holding company, for corporate re branding purposes and (ii) identify the existing structure and corporate profile of the Company as a subsidiary of AFG.
